I really and believe that you only find God and your faith in the midst of the storm...As you were talking about it being experiential. And most of the time Faith looks a lot like doubt and the God that is always present often looks very very absent. But that's not to say bad someone doesn't have faith. The questions and the doubting will last a lifetime. It never really ends. You wrestle with things and then you think you have the answer and then you come back to it later on and wrestle with it some more and find a different answer. I have often raged against the Gates of Heaven. Somehow I think God can handle it but even if he can't that's just going to have to be too bad for him. Because faith has to have authenticity and relationships have to have authenticity.
